| | Company Research: Sports Stars Media Plc | Sports Stars Media plc and its wholly-owned Portuguese subsidiaries, Special Factory, Unipessoal, Lda ("Special Factory") and Magnistage, Unipessoal, Lda ("Magnistage") (together the "Group"), have been established to engage in the production and commercialisation of children's CGI animation television series and brands with a focus on sports and sports stars. The main country of operation of the Group is Portugal.
Special Factory is currently in the early stages of developing its first animation series starring a character based on José Mourinho, the renowned Portuguese football manager. The name of the series is intended to be "Mourinho and The Special Ones" ("MSO") and its target audience is intended to be children aged 6 to 12 years.
Special Factory has been granted, subject to admission to AIM taking place no later than 15 February 2012, the exclusive right to use José Mourinho's name, image and likeness in connection with the MSO series and associated merchandise.
The Group's concept has evolved from the experience and expertise of Ruben Dias and Pedro Maria, the Group's Chief Executive Officer and Production Director respectively, who co-founded Big Storm Studios, which has recently produced Gombby, a children's CGI animation television series aimed at pre-school children. The Directors intend to apply this experience and expertise to the production and commercialisation of MSO. Commercialisation of the MSO series is intended to comprise the sale of television rights, providing the rights to a television station to broadcast the series, and licensing rights, permitting the holder of such rights to sell MSO-branded merchandise or to promote live performances under the brand.
